A fresh alternative to store bought dip, this quick & easy recipe for guacamole is dairy and preservative free and provides a rich source of heart healthy monounsaturated fats.

INGREDIENTS

(Serves 2)

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice
  • Finely chopped red or white onion (optional)
  • Sprinkle of finely chopped coriander (optional)
  • Pink salt and pepper


METHOD

  1. Cut the avocado in half lengthwise and remove the pit.
  2. Scoop the flesh out of the avocado halves and place it into a mixing bowl.
  3. Use a fork to mash the avocado until it reaches your desired consistency (chunky or smooth).
  4. Stir the remaining ingredients together until well combined and enjoy immediately!
  5. Perfect in your lunch wrap or with fritters!
