A fresh alternative to store bought dip, this quick & easy recipe for guacamole is dairy and preservative free and provides a rich source of heart healthy monounsaturated fats.
INGREDIENTS
(Serves 2)
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice
- Finely chopped red or white onion (optional)
- Sprinkle of finely chopped coriander (optional)
- Pink salt and pepper
METHOD
- Cut the avocado in half lengthwise and remove the pit.
- Scoop the flesh out of the avocado halves and place it into a mixing bowl.
- Use a fork to mash the avocado until it reaches your desired consistency (chunky or smooth).
- Stir the remaining ingredients together until well combined and enjoy immediately!
- Perfect in your lunch wrap or with fritters!
