Dairy Free, Gluten-Free, Vegetarian, Refined Sugar Free
Here’s my version of Creme Patissiere with a chocolate twist! It’s rich, creamy and can be enjoyed as a protein breakfast, snack or dessert. It is dairy free, gluten-free, vegetarian and refined sugar free.
Serves 4
INGREDIENTS
- 2 organic omega 3 rich eggs
- 1/2 cup of cornflour
- 500 mls of home made or organic almond milk
- 1/2 a cup of raw organic honey
- 50g of homemade raw organic dark chocolate or organic raw dark chocolate
- 1/2 an organic lemon
METHOD
- In a saucepan, whisk the eggs and corn flour to a smooth paste.
- Add the milk and bring to a slow simmer, whisking continuously. Add the raw honey. Stir using half an organic lemon.
- While slowly simmering add the dark chocolate.
- Continue whisking until thickened to a custard consistency.
- Enjoy served with fresh fruit or crushed nuts.
